试论“共享的历史”与中美关系史研究的新范式

摘要：中外学术界在研究中美关系史时，一直强调中美两国文化的差异与历史背景的不同，侧重中美之间的冲突、对抗以及分歧。本文旨在提出一个新的研究方法及视野，即强调中国人与美国人之间共同的历史经历和旅程在中美关系史中的重要意义。用“共享的历史”方法来重新检视中美关系史，可能是学术上的重大突破，让我们得以在研究中美关系方面另辟蹊径，可以读到一部见解独到的全新的中美关系史。
A Discussion on the “Shared History” and the New Research Paradigm in the Studies of the History of China-U.S. Relationship

Abstract: When studying the history of China-U.S. relationship, the Chinese and foreign academia has been emphasising the differences in culture and historical background of the two countries, and focusing on the conflict, confrontation, and divergence between them. This paper aims at putting forward a new research method and perspective, which emphasises the significance of common historical experience and journey of Chinese and Americans in the history of China-U.S. relationship. To review the China-U.S. relationship with the method of “shared history” might be a major academic breakthrough, which makes us take a different tack in the studies of the history of China-U.S. relationship, and form a new and insightful history of China-U.S. relationship.
