明代早期历史演义小说回目考论

摘要：历史演义小说是明代最早成熟、最为繁盛的章回小说类型，回目是章回小说最显著的文体特征之一。将明代早期几部著名历史演义小说的回目与《资治通鉴纲目》之“纲”进行比对，可以发现后者主要通过照抄、删减、增加、替换、调换语序与综合应用等六种方式演化成前者，小说回目的用词亦深受《资治通鉴纲目》正统论与春秋笔法的影响。这是《资治通鉴纲目》科举化与明代史学“纲目化”给历史演义小说编撰带来有本可依、有文可抄的便利产物。
A Study of the Captions of Historical Romances in the Early Ming Dynasty

Historical romance was the earliest mature and most flourished type of novel divided into chapters, and the caption was the most notable literary style of this type. To contrast the captions of several famous historical romances in the early Ming Dynasty with the outlines of Compendium of History as a Mirror, we can find that the latter was evolved into the former in six main ways of copy, retrenchment, increasement, replacement, exchange of word order, and integrated application. Meanwhile, wording of the captions was deeply influenced by the orthodoxy and writing style of sublime words with implied meaning originated from The Spring and Autumn Annals in Compendium of History as a Mirror. For the compilation of historical romance, it was a result of having model to rely on brought by Compendium of History as a Mirror becoming a required writing for taking the imperial examination, and the historiographic trend of compiling compendium/outline in the Ming Dynasty.
