“儒教之争”反思——从争论线索、焦点问题到方法论探讨

摘要: “儒教之争”事关重大，关系到如何理解儒家、儒学或儒教的本质，如何阐释中国传统文化的特性，如何弘扬中国文化传统的精神，如何进行中外文化比较、世界文明对话等等。宗教概念问题是整个儒教之争的理论症结所在，而“比较方法”与“文化自觉”则成为贯穿整个儒教之争的两个深层问题。全面梳理以往的争论线索，客观评论各派的论争焦点，深入探讨现存的概念、理论，尤其是方法论问题，有助于推动今后的研究与讨论。

A Reflection of the Contention on Confucianism as a Religion: from Clue and Bone of Contention to the Discussion of Methodology

Abstract: The great contention on Confucianism as a religion relates to the issues that how to understand the essence of Confucians, Confucianism or the one as a religion, how to illustrate the characteristics of traditional Chinese culture; how to promote the spirit of traditional Chinese culture; how to make comparison between Chinese and foreign cultures and dialogues among world civilizations; and etc. The theoretical crux of the whole contention lies in the concept of religion, and “comparative method” and “cultural consciousness” become the two profound problems throughout. It would be conducive to future studies and discussions for us to make an overall carding of past clue of the contention, an objective review of the bones of different factions, as well as a deep discussion of existing concepts, theories, especially the problem of methodology.
